Nowadays a new system of higher education is being established in Russia. It is oriented to an entry into the world information and education space. This process is followed by essential changes in the pedagogical theory and practice of the education process, connected with amendments to content of education technologies, which must be adequate to modern technical feasibilities and assist a young man to enter the information society. Computer technologies are not to be just a supplementary appendage in the higher education. They must be an integral part of the education process, which would raise its efficiency significantly.

The International Department introduces online-systems into the information space. The purpose of these systems is informational support of education process and noneducational activities of students. Schedule, workbooks, announcements, discussion of events, possibility to communicate with every participant of the education process is available for students of the International Department and the Centre of Additional Professional Education 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Department’s administration pays great attention to the process of introducing new technologies and development of the operating ones. The experience of Western universities is actively analyzed and adopted due to close connections and cooperation with them.
